Alicyn revisits her Massachusetts roots in a Boston Globe feature, published Sunday, February 8th, 2015. The article by Paul E. Kandarian traces Alicyn’s journey, from a theater company in Norwell, to her studies at Emerson College. She moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue a career in performance.
“I never want to lose that sense of play and wonder,” Alicyn is quoted. “If not for that, I wouldn’t have taken the risk. I think, what gumption it took to make a career out of doing what I love — which is playing for a living.”
