Alicyn Packard has been nominated for the 2014 Voice Arts™ Awards in the Outstanding National Promo Campaign category. In addition to receiving the Voice Arts Awards nomination, Packard is the first and only woman to be nominated in the Promo Campaign category. Packard’s nomination recognizes her work as the voice of Ovation, America’s only arts network, which has been running promos featuring Packard’s voice since 2013. Packard stands alone as the only female in the category, nominated alongside two voice actors for NBC Sports Group, one for FOX’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and one for NBA on TNT.
“Being nominated for the Inaugural Voice Arts™ Awards is truly an honor,” says Packard. “Working with Ovation has been a dream come true for me. There is a shift that is occurring in television promo and more opportunities are opening up for women. I’m grateful to those who came before me for paving the way, and I look forward to helping create more opportunities in the future.”
The First Annual Voice Arts™ Awards recognizes extraordinary skill and artistry that goes into the voiceover acting and the associated roles and to hold up a best-in-class standard of achievement to which the voiceover industry can continually aspire. The Voice Arts™ Awards Gala is on November 9, 2014 at THAT’S VOICEOVER! in New York.
