SPACE RACERS®, the hit animated preschool series, received a screening at the Skirball Cultural Center as part of KCET’s yearlong 50th Anniversary Celebration. The series follows young spaceship cadets at the Stardust Space Academy as they soar through the solar system. It is produced in collaboration with NASA experts, teaching young viewers the power of science, the wonders of space exploration, and the importance of working together as a team. Alicyn plays cadet Robyn, a spunky and brainy spaceship with dreams of shooting for the stars. She was featured in a post-screening panel, along with fellow voice actors Yuri Lowenthal (Eagle), Katie Leigh (Sandpiper), Meyer deLeeuw (Hawk), and Phil Lollar (Headmaster Crane/Dodo), as well as series director Mark Risley and writer David H. Steinberg. The panelists answered questions about their characters, the show, and past projects. SPACE RACERS® airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 a.m. on KCET.
